From financial literacy and tailoring clusters to organic food processing and digital bookkeeping, rural women are leading household economic transformation.
Economic independence for women is the single strongest multiplier for child nutrition, school retention, and community resilience. This month, Skyla Global Foundation celebrated a landmark achievement as our network of Women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) crossed 2,000 active micro-entrepreneurs.
From Skill Training to Market Linkage
Our livelihood clusters focus on sustainable, market-ready enterprises:
- Apparel & Artisan Clusters: Modern sewing machines, design standardization, and bulk school-uniform fulfillment contracts.
- Agri-Processing & Nutri-Foods: Hygienic processing, packaging, and FSSai registration support for millet-based snacks, spices, and organic pickles.
- Micro-Credit & Digital Banking: Zero-balance bank linkages, UPI merchant onboarding, and simplified inventory bookkeeping.
Participating households have reported an average supplemental income increase of ₹4,500 to ₹8,200 per month, directly funding higher education for their daughters.
