Bridging the urban-rural digital divide with solar-backed interactive smart boards, offline curriculum servers, and hands-on science kits for over 6,200 first-generation learners.
For thousands of children in interior blocks, computer literacy and laboratory science remained textbook abstractions—until now. Over the past quarter, Skyla Global Foundation has completed the commissioning of 25 solar-backed Digital Smart Classrooms and Mini-STEM Labs in partner rural schools.
Engineered for Low-Connectivity Environments
Recognizing the challenges of intermittent electricity and bandwidth in remote villages, each smart classroom is equipped with:
- Interactive Audio-Visual Panels: Pre-loaded with bilingual (Hindi & English) NCERT-aligned animated modules for Mathematics, Science, and Environmental Studies.
- Hands-On STEM Experiment Kits: Microscopes, robotics starter boards, optics models, and chemistry safety kits.
- Teacher Enablement: Over 90 rural teachers completed a 40-hour intensive certification on digital pedagogy.
Early assessments show a 34% increase in daily classroom attendance and significantly higher conceptual retention among middle-school students.
