Behind every thriving classroom is an inspired, well-equipped teacher. Skyla Global Foundation recently concluded its annual Rural Teacher Fellowship & Pedagogy Conclave, bringing together over 300 community educators and government-school fellows.
Transforming Rote Learning into Active Discovery
The three-day intensive workshop focused on practical, low-cost classroom innovations aligned with NEP 2020 foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) goals:
- Activity-Based Learning (ABL): Using local materials, storytelling, and peer-learning games to teach foundational reading and arithmetic.
- Socio-Emotional Learning: Identifying learning gaps early and creating trauma-informed, inclusive spaces for first-generation learners.
- Continuous Peer Network: Monthly cluster mentorship circles to share lesson plans and classroom breakthroughs.
Educators passionate about shaping rural education can join our mission through the Become a Teacher / Educator Fellowship page.
